About the incoming Lt. Gov., Alice Mae Britt

Alice
Mae Britt is often described as a “servant leader,” who actively
participates while compassionately helping others. A veteran in
the philanthropic community, Britt arrived at Network of Community
Ministries, Inc. on July 2, 2007 to begin her responsibilities as Chief
Executive Officer. In that role, she currently manages over 600
volunteers responsible for emergency, medical and senior services in Britt’s
exemplary record in nonprofit management, program services and fund
acquisition spans over 19 years. Prior to Network, Inc., she was
Chief Executive Officer of the Todd M. Beamer Foundation, d/b/a Heroic
Choices (Princeton, New Jersey), created by Lisa Beamer following her
husband’s death on United Flight 93. Other roles throughout her
nonprofit career include working for Ser National, Inc. (Las Colinas, Britt
has served on several committees, task forces, and boards at the local,
state and national levels. She values most her involvement with
civic organizations because of her personal and unwavering commitment to
impoverished children and their families. A native of The
loves of her life are her children: Tasashama, 35, Brandon, 29 and
Steven, 15. |
