McKinney club is getting in the Christmas spirit. Dennis
Williams and his committee are getting bell ringers for the Kettles at
McKinney Sams and some overflow to Wal-mart. They find local businesses
and groups to sign up for a day. This project runs from the day
after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. Also, starting the day after Thanksgiving we are partnering with Brookshires Food Store in collecting food. Our club empties the box up front of the store and keeps the donated food. Then on the Saturday before Christmas our club delivers over 100 boxes of food + a turkey to needy families. This is a fun and rewarding project. |

February 13-14, 2009. Kiwanis Mid-Winter Conference held at the DFW Marriott, Irving, Texas. Each club in our division should have attendees at this conference to be eligible for Distinquished Club in 2009. Past Lt. Govs. can represent your club. Please contact them if you need representation at the conference. |
